Pleasing terminal colors on Security Onion

To get the lovely Solarized theme working in Security Onion:
  1. sudo apt-get install gnome-terminal
    1. I'm sure there's a way to get in working in the default xfce4 terminal, but I couldn't figure it out.
  2. Follow instructions here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/23118916/configuring-solarized-colorscheme-in-gnome-terminal-tmux-and-vim

Great site you have here but I was curious about if you knew of any message boards that cover the same topics discussed here? I'd really love to be a part of group where I can get responses from other knowledgeable people that share the same interest. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Cheers!
